Fifth Edition of Hospitality Qatar Kicks Off at Doha Exhibition & Convention Center

HE Minister of Commerce and Industry Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari, and HE Secretary-General of Qatar National Tourism Council Akbar Al Baker, inaugurated today the fifth edition of Hospitality Qatar Exhibition organized by IFP Qatar and held in partnership with Qatar National Tourism Council (QNTC) at Doha Exhibition and Convention Center.

The three-day exhibition aims to help local, regional and international companies explore emerging opportunities in the hospitality industry in Qatar, bringing together hotel operators, food service providers, investors and industry experts from across the region.

Speaking to reporters after the inauguration, HE Minister of Commerce and Industry Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari stressed the importance of Qatar Hospitality Exhibition to highlight the great opportunities enjoyed by the State of Qatar in the hospitality sector, especially as the current edition of the exhibition is witnessing a large participation of countries and companies.

His Excellency noted the national products included in the exhibition, which highlight the efforts exerted in this regard by the local sector, stressing that the current version of Hospitality Qatar is considered as one of the best editions due to the large participation and events that it contains.

His Excellency added that Hospitality Qatar also highlights the civilized side and the efforts and opportunities that are available in the hospitality sector in Qatar and is an opportunity to display products and all the equipment in this sector in one place.

Ahmed Al Obaidli from Qatar National Tourism Council said in a statement that Hospitality Qatar Exhibition is one of the most important exhibitions focused on the business events sector, especially that the fifth edition of the exhibition is the largest ever and witnessed the participation of 15 countries.

Al Obaidli added that the exhibition includes many specialized equipment in the hospitality sector and related equipment, in addition to other events such as cooking competitions and other important events that will promote such an event.

The fifth edition will witness Hospitality Qatar’s signature events, the Salon Culinaire, organized in partnership with Qatar Culinary Professionals (QCP) and supported by the World Association of Chefs Societies for Africa and Middle East.

Live cooking competitions will once again tease the palates and aesthetic taste of food connoisseurs with mouthwatering signature dishes.

The Hospitality Qatar Conference, a CPD-certified conference, returns with a fresh outlook on major new developments in the industry and offer insightful knowledge of the sector, new strategies and innovations, as well as sessions and discussions on the opportunities and challenges facing the sector.

Some of its themes include “An Overview of Qatar’s Future Tourism Sector Developments”, “Showcasing Qatari Market Opportunities in the Hospitality Sector”, and “Hospitality Requirements Towards FIFA World Cup 2022”.
