An idea-pitching event in Qatar will give entrepreneurs the chance to showcase their projects in a bid to win incubation by the Qatar Business Incubation Centre (QBIC).
Demo Day, part of QBIC’s 10-week LeanStartup programme, will take place in Doha on 25 May, inviting selected entrepreneurs to present their business ideas to a panel of judges and potential investors, who will select a group of winners.
The successful entrepreneurs will be incubated by QBIC, with the offer of office space, industrial workshops, and administrative, technical and financial support.
LeanStartup is led by instructors from QBIC and Babson College, and is designed to provide a hands-on learning experience on how to successfully start a company.
Earlier this year, chairman of QBIC, Abdulaziz Al Khalifa, said: “This is about human capital. This is about the entrepreneurs who can transform the idea into a real business.
“This is a great learning opportunity for all of us together as entrepreneurs and QBIC.”
