Gulf Crisis Melts Down as Saudi Arabia, UAE and Bahrain to Participate in 24th Gulf Cup in Doha – AGCFF

The Arab Gulf Cup Football Federation (AGCFF) officially announced the participation of Saudi Arabia, UAE and Bahrain in the 24th Gulf Cup in Doha, after the Executive Office of the AGCFF approved the requests of the three countries’ associations submitted during the past two days.

24th Gulf Cup which will be held from 26 November to 8 December 2019 in Doha.

This came during a press conference held today to announce the latest developments and new arrangements regarding the Gulf Cup in Doha, attended by Vice-President of the AGCFF Jassim Al Shukaili, and Secretary General of the AGCFF Jassim Al Rumaihi.

The AGCFF appreciated the response of the associations of these countries to the invitation extended to them which was presented as a last attempt to reunite the friends under the umbrella of the tournament that has always been one of the successful means to strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and love among the peoples of the region, which underlined its ability to overcome the challenges under the circumstances the region is undergoing.

With these changes, the tournament will return to the two-group system. In the next few hours, a new schedule will be set for the tournament which will be held from 26 November to 8 December.
