KahraMaa (QGEWC)

Kahramaa (Qatar General Electricity & Water Corporation), was established in July 2000 further to the Emiri Law number 10, to regulate and maintain supply of Electricity & Water to customers. Since inception, Kahramaa has operated as an independent corporation on a commercial basis with a total capital of four billion Qatari riyals.

Vision
Based on the pillar of human development in Qatar National Vision (QNV) 2030, KAHRAMAA is committed, within its Qatarization policy, to invest in the national cadres by providing high quality training programs and scholarships to meet their expectations. It provides incentives for Qataris to encourage their involvement in the senior technical and administrative jobs. KAHRAMAA provides, as well, several job opportunities for Qatari women. Our Mission is to provide our customers with high quality electricity and water services, whilst creating value for our shareholders.

Efficiently meet our obligations to supply Qatar’s needs for electricity and water.
Operate on a commercial basis.
Comply with local and international health, safety, and environmental standards.
Maximise the employment of capable Qatari nationals, and develop them to the competence level of employees in leading international companies.
