Qatar expects the government to sign contracts for up to 46 billion riyals ($12.6 billion) of new infrastructure projects next year, finance minister Ali Sherif al-Emadi told a financial conference on Tuesday.
So far, Qatar has committed to projects worth a total of $102 billion (374 billion riyals), he said.
Emadi also said he expected Qatar’s economy to grow 3.4 percent in 2017, accelerating from its rate of expansion early this year.
Gross domestic product expanded 2.0 percent from a year earlier in the second quarter of this year and 1.4 percent in the first quarter, according to official data. Source: Arabian Business
