HE the Minister of Energy and Industry Dr Mohamed bin Saleh al-Sada will take part in the fifth meeting of the Arab Water Ministerial Council, due to be held today at the headquarters of the Arab League’s General Secretariat in the Egyptian capital.
A press release issued yesterday by Qatar Petroleum said the Minister will leave Doha today for Cairo at the head of a delegation to attend this meeting, which is scheduled to discuss a number of topics and issues, foremost of which is the Arab strategy for water security in the Arab region, the follow-up of the implementation of the Millennium Development Goals, the Arab summit development resolutions, and preparations for an international conference on Arab water in the occupied Arab territories.
The delgation includes Kahramaa chairman Issa bin Hilal al-Kuwari. The Arab Water Ministerial Council re-elected Qatar as member of the Executive Office of its 30th session, during the 10th session of the Arab Electricity Ministerial Council, which was held last month at the headquarters of the Arab League in Cairo. Minister al-Sada took part in the session.
