Qatar’s Prime Minister Holds Talks with his Albanian Counterpart…

HE Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Abdullah Bin Nasser Bin Khalifa Al Thani, held a round of official talks at the Emiri Diwan Premises here before noon Sunday with his Albanian Counterpart Edi Rama. The two sides reviewed aspects of joint cooperation and means of boosting and developing them in all domains.

The talks were attended by a number of their excellencies the ministers. While attending the talks on the Albanian side were their excellencies the members of the delegation accompanying the Albanian Prime Minister. HE Sheikh Abdullah Bin Nasser Bin Khalifa Al Thani, and the Albanian distinguished guest witnessed the signing ceremony of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on health cooperation between the governments of qatar and albania, and an agreement between the two governments on regulating the use of Albanian labourers in Qatar.

Later HE the prime minister and interior minister hosted a luncheon banquet in honour of the Albanian premier and his accompanying delegation who arrived in Doha earlier Saturday evening on a several days official visit to Qatar.

Albanian Prime Minister Praises Relations with Qatar

Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama has described the existing relations between his country and Qatar as strong and close. Speaking to Qatar News Agency (QNA), the Albanian Premier said he had earlier today held constructive and useful talks with HE Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani, during which they discussed a set of issues of interest to both countries, especially in cultural, economic and investments areas.

Rama added that he had also met with HE Advisory Council Speaker Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khulaifi, where they discussed and exchanged views on various parliamentary issues between both countries. The Albanian Premier expressed his belief that the warm welcome accorded to him during this visit and the strong desire to enhance cooperation between Doha and Tirana are a confirmation that both countries were working and willing to boost and broaden these relations.

The Albanian Prime Minister continued to say that he was honored to visit Qatar and meet HE the Prime Minister and Interior Minister, stressing both countries’ willingness to consolidate bilateral cooperation. Rama said that he was impressed by the comprehensive growth witnessed in Qatar in different fields, adding that he was confident that wise leadership in Qatar will harness all the potentials in the interest of Qatar and its people. The Albanian Premier revealed that a Qatari delegation will visit Albania to explore areas of cooperation to create partnerships for both countries.

Asked about the Syrian crisis, he called for serious efforts by the international community to help Syria overcome this ongoing disaster. On the stalled peace process between the Palestinian- Israeli sides, he said that his country has good relations with both sides, stressing that Albania will support any balanced effort to reach a just peace in the Middle East. Concluding his statement, Rama said he was totally satisfied with the results of his current visit to Qatar, which he deemed as a true addition to Qatari-Albanian relations.

Advisory Council Speaker Discusses Parliamentary Relations with Albanian Premier

The Advisory Council speaker HE Mohammed bin Mubarak Al-Khulaifi met here on Sunday with Albania’s Prime Minister Edi Rama and his accompanying delegation who arrived in Doha earlier Saturday evening on a several days official visit to Qatar. During the meeting, they discussed parliamentary relations between the two countries and means of bolstering them.

The meeting was attended by HE the Advisory Council’s Secretary-General Fahd bin Mubarak Al Khayareen, HE Qatar’s Ambassador to Albania Yousuf Hassan Al Saai, and HE the Albanian ambassador accredited to Qatar Ridi Kurtezi. Source: QNA
