QNB has launched its ‘QNB-Simplify e-commerce’ product for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) as part of efforts to support the government’s initiative of Digital Transformation of SME programme (DTSME). The bank rolled out the product at the recently concluded exhibition, organised by Ministry of Transport and Communications. The QNB-Simplify e-commerce product, which is powered by MasterCard Payment Gateway Services, is the latest and most innovative entry in QNB’s SME offering, which features a wide range of products and services offered to this important sector, which is considered a driver of the Qatari economy.
The product is an innovative cloud based e-commerce platform, the first of its kind in Qatar, that allows merchants to create an online shop, upload their products, and publish them for sale on the web. Customers do not need their own servers, IT infrastructure or developers to do so, as they can rely on the cloud resources for all their needs and can set up their online shop and start selling their products with ease. QNB’s support to SMEs goes beyond the products and services, to include the bank’s nurturing and support of all workers in this important sector, and to the dedication of a branch at the Shumukh Tower to fulfil all their needs. QNB has also allocated a dedicated customer relationship manager at its One-Stop-Shop at the Qatar Business Incubation Centre to answer any inquiries from SMEs and startups.
The bank also serves its SME customers through its dedicated corporate branches in Ain Khaled, Wakrah, Al Khor, Industrial Area, Mesaieed Industrial City, and the bank’s head office. The DTSME programme aims to promote digital innovation, competitiveness and growth of SMEs through end-to-end digital transformation of their value chain in areas such as web enablement, e-commerce and cloud solutions, supported by an ecosystem of technology enablers.
The objective of the event is to enhance awareness of the benefits of using modern technology in the business sector and to help SMEs connect with the right service providers to begin their digitisation journeys. The programme aims to benefit more than 5,000 SMEs by the end of 2019.
