DOHA-QATAR: QNB bagged a major award at the 10th anniversary Seatrade Middle East & Indian Subcontinent Awards held recently in Dubai.
‘The Ship Finance Award’, the highest award in its category, was given to QNB for its overall role as mandated lead arranger, facilities agent, account bank and security trustee for a number of mega transport and infrastructure projects. Examples highlighted were: UASC Shipping, Qatar Shipping, Halul Offshore Services, Nakilat and Gulf LPG.
Securing this prestigious award is testament to QNB’s growing reputation as the leading financial institution that offers state-of-the-art financial solutions and expertise to businesses operating across the LNG, oil, infrastructure, aviation and heavy industry sectors. This complements QNB’s strong and proven track-record in financing tailor-made solutions for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) locally and regionally.
“The companies that were both short-listed for the awards and those that were winners have shown exemplary levels of achievement, in areas such as technical and operational innovation, commitment to safety and quality, social and environmental responsibility, business acumen and development of human resources. Seatrade salutes them all” said Chris Hayman, Chairman of Seatrade. Source: The Peninsula
