Qatar Petroleum (QP) is taking part in the “11th Middle East Geosciences Conference and Exhibition” (GEO 2014), which is being held at the Bahrain International Exhibition & Convention Centre in Manama from March 10 to 12.
The event was inaugurated yesterday by Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohamed al-Khalifah, Minister of Finance and Minister in Charge of Oil and Gas Affairs. He was joined by other senior officials during the event. Al-Khalifah listened to a briefing from members of the QP delegation on the company’s ongoing operations when he visited the QP booth, which had attracted a large number of delegates and visitors.
Most of the QP booth’s guests inquired about the corporation’s operations and its new projects, which was an opportunity to raise awareness on its activities and investments in the oil and gas industry. QP, along with its subsidiary Qatar Petrochemical Company (Qapco), is a major exhibitor at GEO 2014. With the theme “Taking Geoscience Beyond the Conventional,” the event is now on its 11th edition. GEO 2014 is organised by Arabian Exhibition Management Company and has attracted the participation of many industry professionals and more than 100 companies worldwide.
