DOHA: Work on the QR2.3m Muntazah Street project is in full swing and is scheduled to be completed by the end of next year. The project, which is part of Ashghal’s Expressway Programme, will provide an important connection from the Industrial Area into Doha city and ease traffic congestion in the area. It will also provide a strategic connection to Barwa City and commercial strip and connect F-Ring Road to Wholesale Market Road and Mesaimeer Street.
The project will include an extensive network of pedestrian footpaths and cycleways to enhance safety and access for all.Al Muntazah Street project will include construction of approximately 8km of new dual carriageway on Abu Hamour Road/Al Muntazah Street from East Industrial Road Interchange to Al Woqod Interchange.
It will also have approximately 2km of dual carriageway on F-Ring Road from Woqod Interchange to Al Jazeera Interchange. The Al Muntazah mainline will comprise eight lanes (four lanes in each direction, separated by a median) with parallel running service road and auxiliary lanes.
F-Ring Road mainline will consist of six lanes (three lands in each direction, separated by a median) located on a 1.8km long structure above local service roads.
