State of Qatar Appoints Ambassador to UAE after 6 years

HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani on Sunday issued Amiri Decision No. 57 of 2023 appointing Dr. Sultan Salmeen Saeed Al Mansouri as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the United Arab Emirates.

The decision is effective starting from its date of issue, and is to be published in the official gazette.

In a major diplomatic milestone, Qatar’s Amir HH Sheikh Tamim Al Thani names Dr. Sultan Salmeen Saeed Al-Mansouri as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the United Arab Emirates, six years after the UAE broke off all ties with Qatar during the 2017 blockade.

A tweet released by the Amiri Diwan stated, “His Highness the Emir issues the Emiri Resolution # 57 of 2023 appointing Dr. Sultan Salmeen Saeed Al Mansoori as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the United Arab Emirates”
